This still life, with broad and casual strokes, but with precision in the form of what is represented, is highly decorative. It is an expressive work, typical of Mauleón's artistic production. Benito was born in La Rioja, but from a young age he was closely linked to the city of Valladolid. In the mid-seventies he painted with a strong political criticism, very influenced by the aesthetics of Equipo Crónica.
