Bennet Antique Armorial Engraving Earl Of Tankerville Coat Of Arms Hand Colored Matted Framed
Chairish$495
Antique hand-colored armorial engraving depicting the Bennet coat of arms for the Earl of Tankerville. Rich in heraldic detail and aristocratic symbolism, the engraving is inscribed “Bennet Earl of Tankerville” along with the family motto, “DE BON VOULOIR SERVIR LE ROI” (“To Serve the King with Good Will”). We have encountered similar English peerage engravings described as from Alexander Jacob’s A Complete English Peerage (d. 1785), the celebrated London publication documenting the genealogy and history of the peers of the realm. This is an authentic antique print, not a modern reproduction. Elegant and timeless, this piece would make a distinguished addition to an English traditional, Georgian, Regency, or European style country house interior. Especially well-suited for a study, library, entry hall, office, or layered gallery wall, it adds warmth, history, and collected character to both classic and contemporary spaces. A wonderful piece for collectors of heraldry, antique prints, or refined English decorative arts. It comes nicely presented in a later custom mat and frame, ready to display. Shipped fully insured with tracking number. Measurements: Frame approximately 22 1/2" high by 19 1/4" wide.
