Blind Man - Original Etching By A. Ruellan - Mid 20th Century Mid 20th Century

Chairish

$344

Image dimensions: 22 x 20.5 cm. Blind Man is an original artwork realized by Andrèe Ruellan in the half of the XX Century. Original Etching and Burin on Creamy paper. This is an artist's proof from 30 prints (15 proofs printed on laid Arches paper and 15 proofs on China paper). Hand-signed in pencil on the lower right margin, with title and autograph notes on the central margin. Mint conditions. Intense and contrasting artwork representing the figure of a blind man with a small portable teather in the hands and a figure of a skinny puppet that is going to go out of it. The figure of the blind man is weird and he has two small dark buttons instead of the eyes. The whole work is disquieting and weird but also very theatrical and with a strong effect. This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist who has died requires a licence for export regardless of the work’s market price. The shipping may require additional handling days to require the licence according to the final destination of the artwork.
