Inspired by a visit to the Cornish coast, the artist uses acrylic paint, gesso, and soluble graphite sticks to create this abstract landscape painting. The memories of tall grasses, bracken and birdsong from a childhood on the Irish coast lead Laura Cramer to seek out English vineyards and woodland walks from her home in Bristol. Intending to 'paint freely', she works in layers with a 'childlike spontaneity'.
