Brian Simons is a Canadian artist, largely self-taught, who pursued a career in mechanical engineering and segued to paintings as he neared an early retirement. Now he not only paints, he also teaches art himself. Self-identifying as a "Canadian Fauvist" Simons now exhibits widely through Canada and the U.S. He has won numerous awards for his works and counts a fan base of collectors in the hundreds.
