Bruce Steinhoff (1957 +), a Canadian, began showing an aptitude for art when he was 7 years old. He fell in love with the landscapes of Northern Ontario following a camping trip with his father and these became his dominant subjects as his career flourished. Although mainly self-taught, he studied under Carl Schaefer and today is known as a painter whose brilliant colors and vivid landscapes hang in some of the most prestigious galleries in Canada. This gorgeous work of flowers and trees at Munzars Pond is a dramatic impressionist masterpiece in greens, yellows and blues and would be a magnificent addition to anyone's home or workplace. In 2018, at the age of 60, Bruce was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease and took up permanent residence in Port Dover to be close to his family.
