This is a painting of buildings on Randolph Street in Chicago. When I lived in the Chicago area, I would carry my sketchbook to the city for ideas. This painting emphasizes the abstract quality of the geometric shapes of buildings, the light and atmosphere, and space. The surface has a thick crust-like quality of paint. It is wired to hang and ships in a box. A float frame is recommended to protect the edges of the canvas.
