The engraver Jacques Firmin Beauvarlet evolved in the 18th century. He is gifted in the representation of the flesh as it is visible in his work on the works of Van Loo, Nattier\. Charles Van Loo is a French painter of the XVIIIth century. He travelled to Turin and Rome, where he studied drawing, painting and sculpture. He first became known for his trompe l'oeil paintings on ceilings. He then entered the Royal Academy of Sculpture and Painting, where he later became a professor.
