Tuscan Proverbs is an original etching realized by Carlo Lasinio in 1786. Etching and watercolour technique, in good conditions, except for some stains on the back of the yellowed paper. Image Dimensions: 27.5x19 cm. Carlo Lasinio (Treviso 1759-1838) was an Italian engraver and museologist. He began his career as a painter at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. He soon became more interested in engraving, especially after moving to Florence in 1778. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
