The Sentinel is an original artwork realized by Charles Courtry in the second half of the 19th Century. Original etching on ivory-colored cardboard. Hand-signed on the lower right corner. Good conditions. Lovely etching realized with contrasting strokes, representing a Sentinel, riding his horse, ready for the march. The artwork was realized by the French artist and engraver Charles Courtry (1846 - 1897). This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
