He is known for Landscape, still life painting, nudes.Charles Perron was born at Plesse on the Loire, and he was educated initially at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Nantes. He then became a border at the National Art School in Paris, studying under Professor Collin and Professor Roger.Perron went on to become one of the finest painters of his generation in France, being equally talented at still life, landscape, portraiture, and the rustic cottage scenes around Brittany, where he eventually made his home.Amongst the countless awards that he won, the Bronze, Silver and then Gold Medals at the Paris Salon in 1924,26,and 28 respectively, demonstrate his outstanding talent.He went on to become curator of the Museums of Nantes and Rennes. A member of the Jury at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Nantes, and a member of the Association for the Conservation of the Public Collections of France. His work can today be found in museums, public and private collections all over the World.
