This traditional watercolor beautifully depicts two birds in the branches of a tree. The dominant colors are pale greens, yellows and browns. This original painting from the early 1980’s is signed by the artist in Chinese characters along with his personal stamp. The artist is Chien Fei Chiang (1928-2011), an accomplished painter and art instructor from Connecticut. Chiang was listed in the “Who’s Who of American Art” and received many awards during his long career. Information about the artist during his early career, which began in Taiwan, is featured at the back. The brush painting is matted and framed in gold.
