His career began as the Director of Still Photography at Columbia Studios before moving on to Paramount and assisting in the portrait gallery. Later he became Paramount’s Director of Still Photography. After leaving Paramount, he began doing freelance work for other studios while running his own photo lab until his retirement in 1979.
