California self taught artist (American b.1969) Christopher (Cyrstofer) Shoemaker painted this multi colored figurative abstract work of art on a 14” square stretched canvas. It is untitled, and signed “Cyrstofer” along the entire front bottom. And dated ‘25 in the front lower right. Shoemaker began painting back in 2000. He was impressed with the late and well known artist Purvis Young who is an outsider artist who paints on found materials, plus being completely self taught. Shoemaker follows that same theme, however this painting isn’t on found materials. Shoemaker’s artwork is widely collected. In fact, he has had several art exhibitions at Colin Fisher Studios in Cathedral City, CA. among many other gallery’s. Those exhibitions can be scene on YouTube.com by searching either the gallery’s name or Shoemaker’s name. This painting could be framed if desired, but it can be hung as is. Either way, it would be a great addition to any home or office. It’s bold, colorful and handsome.
