Even as a young girl I was enthralled by Monet’s waterlily paintings and over 65 years later still inspired! These beautiful lilies have blooms that seem unreal the colors are so vibrant. I created this painting using a heavy impasto with oil paints, working back into the painting before it had a chance to dry.
