“Corbusierhaus Berlin 14” Giclee Archival Pigment Print 18x18 Framed in Walnut

Chairish

$1,200

Each piece is an original work by artist Garrett Knoll, printed and framed by hand in Brooklyn, New York. The image is printed on site and the frame is custom-built by hand. The result is an archival pigment print (giclée) on lustre photographic paper, set in a 0.75 inch thick walnut frame with an elevated float mount. Every piece ships with a signed Certificate of Authenticity, professionally packaged to arrive in perfect condition. Unité d'Habitation, Typ Berlin — known locally as the Corbusierhaus — was designed by Le Corbusier and stands in Charlottenburg, Berlin, Germany. Completed in 1958 for the Interbau exhibition, its board-marked concrete facade and modular apartments adapted his "vertical city" concept, first realized in Marseille, to a German context and clientele that altered several of his original specifications.
