Diptych paintings of Adam and Eve, in a highly stylized art deco manner, by the Italian American artist Joseph Collazzi (1914-1989), dated 1987. He began his career in Italy in the 1930s painting in the Art Deco style. After immigrating to New York in 1932, he ran a very successful business creating idealistic paintings of New England rural life. Late in life, he returned to his roots to paint some remarkable Deco inspired works that were well timed to appeal to the post modern taste of the 1980s.
