This Gouache painting is one of two paintings looking at a Native American figure. It was inspired by documentary films I saw in the 80's of different Native American tribes and their attire and traditions. The fascination of the strong presence and mergence with nature made a lasting impression on me. Here I chose to highlight a silhouette of what appears to be a warrior with his spear up next to him. He is sitting on the ground with a hazy sky sunset in the background. The ocher, black and gray color palette encased in an uneven rectangle is lending the painting a more antique and authentic look of an old postcard. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
