DESTE is an original abstract mixed-media painting inspired by my dreams of Greece and the energy of the creative community in Athens and the island of Hydra. Created in a primitive, naïve style, the work features mixed media layers, building a surface filled with vibrant color, texture, and expressive mark-making. Created in 2026 with acrylic, oil pastel, charcoal, and paint pen on canvas. Painting measures 36 x 48 inches. The painting (canvas only) will be shipped UN-STRETCHED and carefully ROLLED in a box or tube. This method is great for larger works, and shipping costs are typically lower. Rolled canvas works can be easily re-stretched (i.e. placed onto wooden stretcher bars) and/or framed by a local framer. May "DESTE" always bring joy and beautiful color to your home and design!
