This devotional painting may not be for everyone, I understand, but when I look at each individual hole (hand-drilled with an awl), I can't help but think of the dedication. Someone who spent endless hours creating something completely useless, yet so necessary to him. An 8 cm thick wooden frame defines the space between sacred and profane. This marvel should be observed every day, to remind us to make room for the things we feel are important. It measures 60 x 70 cm. (The glass is broken in one corner, and part of a decoration is partially detached; defects visible in the last photos.)
