This piece was made on a 24” square stretched canvas. I used expressive marks to create the nest and more saturated tones in the Osprey. You will find other bits of saturated colors here and there. There is fun detail in one fish, the other is muted, while the third is drawn. It appeared that that top fish was being dropped from the sky as this was evolving so I decided to leave it as if the mate was dropping off dinner. It was inspired by a trip to Heron Lake in NM.
