“Doll” — Original Painting by Georgian Artist Lado Gorgadze “Droll” is an original painting by Georgian artist Lado Gorgadze, depicting a whimsical, enigmatic figure rendered with an expressive, dreamlike quality. Gorgadze and the painting’s current owner, designer and artist Iuri Shubladze, were childhood friends and classmates from elementary school through graduation in Georgia. Their creative paths later took them in different directions—Gorgadze continued his studies at the Georgian State Academy of Arts, while Shubladze eventually moved abroad and pursued a career in fashion, design, and art. The painting was given directly by Gorgadze to Shubladze as a personal gift and bears a handwritten dedication in Georgian on the reverse referencing their childhood friendship and affection. Presented in a custom frame and preserved with its original handwritten inscription, the work offers both a distinctive visual presence and a documented personal connection between two lifelong creative contemporaries.
