This artwork "Village Scene with Church" 1970, is an oil painting on hardboard by noted Brazilian/Spanish artist Durval Pereira, 1917-1984. It is hand signed at the lower left corner by the artist. The hardboard size is 13 x 18 inches, framed size is 21.75 x 26.5 inches. Framed in original wooden, gold and brown frame with grey painted liner and white bevel. It is in excellent condition, the frame have some very minor small restorations, practically invisible. About the artist: DURVAL PEREIRA, SPANISH-BRAZILIAN (1917-1984) He was born on 06/26/1917 in the neighborhood of Brás, SP. He received the honorable mention of the SPBA in 1944 going from there, to live exclusively on painting. Awarded in several important painting events in the country and abroad. He died in São Paulo on 02/20/1984.
