This 19th century Dutch painting features a male subject rendered in an oil on board medium. It has craquelure which is a network of fine cracks on the surface, but this is typical of aged oil paintings. The painting came from a family from Amsterdam whose estate was in Winter Park, Florida. The signature appears to read "Schwartze" and there is writing on the back but not clearly legible. See photos. The frame is original to the piece and in excellent condition.
