Large Harrison Fisher print from the early 1900s. This is an original print from that era. Harrison Fisher was famous for the beautiful women he depicted in all sorts of scenes. While the "Gibson Girl" is a famous term, Harrison Fisher's girls were equally as famous in the day and was a premier illustrator in the late 1890s through the 1930s. Look how au currant her outfit is! This was likely once part of a large portfolio book of Harrison Fisher's work. This one is called Engagement Days and was printed by Charles Scribner & Sons. I originally purchased this in Toronto Canada in the 1980s. I loved the composition and content of this piece. It is framed in a wood frame that has a black inside edging with a green mat.
