A luminous portrait of a 6-8 year old girl. The fine quality of the execution and the perfect state of preservation makes this a quality piece dating from the early 19th Century. probably around 1810. It is French and the girl has been rendered in colored chalk. It is not framed but it is signed illegibly on the back in a very florid script.
