A beautifully designed stitchwork sampler created and executed by an eight year old English girl in 1835. In addition to the customary presentation of an alphabet, Mary shows her wide skill with floral and bordering elements. Colours are in great shape as is the silk and cotton threading. There is some discoloring and the gilt frame has darkening as well.
