Two delicately painted and penned scenes of earlier China life. One is a pagoda outside of Shanghai, the other is the original City Gate of Peiping (now Beijing; and no longer a City Gate- a mall). Peiping (which translates to Northern Peace) was named such during 1929-1949, when the name was changed to what it is known as today- Beijing.
