Framed Chinese porcelain Buddhist temple plaque, a finely drawn, Bodhisattva Maitreya, seated in lalitasana on a lotus throne with an ornate crown and halo, clad in swirling blue robes and displaying two mudras, on a blue and gold lattice of hexagonal floral medallions, in fine gilt line drawing throughout. The Buddhist Treasure Vase symbol with other Buddhist ritual implements are below the throne and a flaming symbol is above Maitreya's halo. With three seal marks, in the finely carved, original, Chinese, heavy, hongmu frame with the original Chinese bronze hanger. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century.
