A must have if you are a Chicagoan! Titled, "The Road Through Town", this is an oil on canvas painting of an Eastern-European (likely Hungary) town scene by Vienna Beef sign painter, Gustav Korn! Artwork size 8" x 10". Framed size: 10 1/4" x 12 1/2". Provenance: Estate of the artist. Painting is in a wooden frame. Born in Hungary in 1915, Korn emigrated to Chicago in 1956. Originally hired by Vienna Beef on the manufacturing end of the operation, his artistic talents were discovered when a fellow employee spotted him exhibiting at the Gold Coast Art Fair.
