Visite a l'Elysée is an original artwork realized by Elie Anatole Pavil (1873-1948). Original drawing on paper, realized on early-20th century, hand signed in pencil by the artist on the lower left corner. Insertion of a short dialogue on the lower left margin. Good conditions on a yellowed cardboard Elie Anatole Pavil (1873-1948) was born in Odessa in the Ukraine. Pavil travelled to Paris where he was to settle permanently, becoming a French citizen in 1911. He first exhibited in Paris in 1904 at the Salon des Peintres de Paris. The city was his subject, the light and colour of the Seine, gardens, street scenes. In 1930 Pavil was made Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur, and moved to Morocco, continuing to paint until his death in 1948. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
