Emilian Area Artist, Still Life Of Flowers And Fruit, Early 18th Century, Canvas Painting

Chairish

$4,062

A beautiful still life or 'capriccio' of flowers and fruit characterized by clear and luminous colors, which highlight the vivid colors of the elements such as the orange of the melon and the red of the vine leaves. The plant compendium composed of summer fruits is placed on a terrain with multiple support levels with a clear sky in the background. Although the painting bears an old attribution to the prestigious transalpine painter Maximillian Pfeiler, it is more plausible that this painting was executed in the Emilian area by a worthy Italian or foreign painter during the first half of the 18th century. The painting is equipped with a gilded 'Salvador Rosa' frame from the period. The painting is in excellent condition. Canvas measurements 90cm x 67cm in height; measurements with frame 105cm x 82cm in height. We attach a historical certificate of authenticity to the sale.
