Dora Riparia at Alpignano is an original etching realized in the late 19th Century by the italian painter and engraver Ernesto Rayper (1840-1873). Ernesto Rayper is known as founder of the ''Scuola Grigia'' (Grey School) of landscape painting and was associated with the Macchiaioli Movement. Very good conditions. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
