This is a beautiful vintage French color print by celebrated illustrator Eugène Lelièvre (1908-2013). Best known for his elegant depictions of Parisian life, fashion, and the theater, Lelièvre's work captures the glamour and sophistication of mid-century France. This wonderful composition depicts a troupe of elaborately costumed cabaret dancers in brilliant color and is a fantastic example of the artist's distinctive style. The print bears the artist's hand signature in the lower right and includes the printer's imprint, "Imp. by Madsen, Paris," along with a French "Dépôt Légal" publication mark dating the print to the mid-1940s. Printed on heavy paper with generous margins, it displays beautifully and would make a striking addition to any collection of French illustration, theater art, or vintage Paris décor. Condition: Good vintage condition. There is a water stain beneath the artist's signature and some mild toning to the outer margins consistent with age. Please review all photographs.
