He's known for sculptures made of recycled wood. Unframed it's 10” wide, 12.25” high. Framed it's 15.75” wide, 18.25” high. About the artist: Faralla was born in New York on March 19, 1916. “Richard” Faralla studied at the California School of Fine Arts. Previously a painter, in 1959 he turned to sculptures and reliefs assembled from small scraps of wood gathered from construction sites. A long-time resident of San Francisco, he died in Sonoma County, California on August 2, 1996. He exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, 1966 (solo). His work is held at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
