Farmer is an original etching, realized by French artist Félix Henri Bracquemond. Sheet dimension: 52.5 x 64.5 cm. Image Dimensions: 42.5 x 51 cm Hand Signed on the lower right. In good conditions. The artwork represents a farmer working. The artwork is depicted skilfully in a well-balanced composition after a painting by Jean-François Millet. Félix Henri Bracquemond (1833 –1914), is a French artist, a painter, and also a famous etcher. He has an important key role in the revival of printmaking, encouraging many artists of his era to use this technique He applied himself to engraving and etching about 1853 and played a leading and brilliant part in the revival of the etcher's art in France. Altogether he produced over eight hundred plates, comprising portraits, landscapes, scenes of contemporary life, and bird-studies. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
