This 1907 graphite on paper figurative drawing is by American artist John Whitworth Robson (1881-1946). After graduating from the Yale School of Art, Robson lived as an American artist in Paris from 1905-1909. He was a member of the American Art Association of Paris and exhibited at the Salon of the highly esteemed Societe des Artistes Francais alongside Edgar Degas and Toulouse Lautrec. Signed and dated in the lower left. Good vintage condition. Minor age toning and slight tear in upper left.
