"Roadside Flowers" is a botanical mixed media piece using acrylic, pastel, charcoal and a collage of vintage Wall Street Journal. It was inspired by a walk on a logging road when I came across a beautiful patch of flowers among the overturned tree stumps and piled up mounds of dry branches. These hardy volunteers are a good example of the power of regeneration. This piece was created on a piece of appx. 15" x 19" Ramboard, a heavy construction grade of chipboard type paper. The last photo shows it in a standard frame and mat.
