Fortuny Vintage Printed Velvet Border Circa 1930

Rare and sumptuous Fortuny printed velvet are opulent and splendid in every way , used in clothing but not only , it is very rare to find Fortuny printed velvet ,this model was created in 1907 , we believe this piece to be circa 1930 , some pieces of the same design were exposed at the Hallwykska museum in Stockolms in 2015 during an exhibition on Fortuny textiles. Fortuny design are alway extremely elegant, mix baroque and oriental influences that gives a surprising feeling of modernism the navy bleu of the velvet plus the silver printed design enhance that feeling , you can notice on the pictures of the back the hand printed techniques, the difference in coloring you see on picture is due to lighting the navy bleu velvet is uniform and the silver shiny shows differently depending light .Size of the roll is 81 " L on 10 " W, we have other rolls of printed Fortuny velvet , please check those listing as it represent a unique opportunity to create a set .
