Jupiter and Antiope is a beautiful black and white etching on paper, realized by the Italian artist Francesco Cecchini (1790-1820). Signed on the lower, on the plate, titled on the lower center. Good conditions except for diffused small foxing stain. The artwork represents one of the most interesting mythological scenes in an oval frame through deft strokes and well-defined hatching. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
