Part of limited series of only 90 pieces, this aquatint print is set on Somerset Rag paper (100% cotton paper) in a complex process using acid to eat into the printing plate and ink to fill in the gaps, resulting in singular chromatic effects after transfer. Pictured flying in a dense flock, golden birds are pressed into the paper using a stamp, while other birds are embossed to give the illusion of flying by catching the light.
