This dramatic and distinctive aerial vantage point shows the important royal road built in the 17th century to link the coast of Gipuzkoa with the interior. The Basque village of Salinas de Leniz therefore became an important part of the route that joined Castilla with Europa. The area was also important for its salt mines.The initials verso are indistinct, G.W. or possibly G.D.All artworks come with a Certificate of Authenticity and in some cases an accompanying text or artist biography.
