Four Kings is an original color drawing on paper realized around 1910s, by the Italian satiric illustrator, Gabriele Galantara (Montelupone, Italy, 1867 - Rome, 1937). A China ink and watercolor, of little dimensions but very high quality, represents four standing male figures carrying crowns and transversal representative bands . Gabriele Galantara (Montelupone, 1865 - Rome, 1937) Gabriele Galantara was a journalist and one of the leading Italian caricaturists and satirical designers, illustrator of ''L'Asino'' review. Rata-Langa, A.A. Lagrant, Blitz and Grottesco were his art-names. The stroke of his drawing was marked and decisive, of an expressionist style. He was also a collaborator of the Italian Socialist Party newspaper ''L'Avanti!''. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
