Portrait of Garibaldi is a screen print realized by the italian artist Giangiacomo Spadari in 1982. Hand-signed and dated on the lower right, numbered, edition of 137/150 prints on the lower left in pencil. Sheet dimension: 71 x 50.5 cm. The State of preservation is good . The artwork is a portrait of Garibaldi, through vivid colors, Giuseppe Maria Garibaldi was an Italian general, patriot, leader and writer. The relevant figure of the Risorgimento, he was one of the most celebrated historical figures of his time. The Artist created a very memorable portrait of this hero by choosing vivid bright colors. Giangiacomo Spadari(1938-1997), born in the Republic of San Marino in 1938, Giangiacomo Spadari was an artist who, like few others, reflected on the socio-political narrative, on the language of the mass media and on the social role of art and whose political and social commitment is fused and long-lasting enough to build an ethical dimension over time and over time existence. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
