This C. 1990-1999 etching on paper entitled "Plate VII" from the artist's "Passing Through" series is by New York/San Francisco artist Gary L. Shaffer (1936-2001). Shaffer trained with Hans Hofmann in the late 1950s and became an influential member of the Printmakers' Workshop in Manhattan. His works are in the permanent collection of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Detroit Institute of Arts. Titled and estate stamped on bottom. This piece will be shipped in a mat to fit a standard sized frame.
