Designs is a lithograph realized in 1971 by Gianfranco Baruchello. Sheet dimension:70 x 70 Hand signed and dated in pencil. Not numbered, as issued. Good condition. Edition of 62/90. In full Baruchello's style, a clear and synthetic line delineates small drawings with a total white background, The work was realized by Gianfranco Baruchello (Livorno, 1924), an important contemporary Italian artist known for his experimentation with a variety of media. Baruchello’s primary focus has led to a lifelong investigation of the human mind through drawings and paintings of symbols, systems, and words. The 95 year old currently divides his time between Romeand Paris. Today, Baruchello’s works are held in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, among others. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
