In the Paradise is an original etching realized by Gilbert Decock. Good condition on a cardboard passepartout (51x65 cm ). Edition 41/50. Limited edition of 50 copies numbered and sigled by the artist. Gilbert Decock was a belgian artist born in Kokke in 1928 and died in Kokke in 2007. In the 1950s and 1960s Gilbert Decock was associated with the constructivist movement . His works are most often made of circular shapes and squares and he mainly uses two colors, black and white. This white / black circle-square opposition is comparable to the masculine-feminine opposition, day-night, or even yin and yang . This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
