He removes the distraction of form so that we can focus on the beautiful complexity of nature's colour palette. At RHS Wisley, Revell sought out the most structurally complex flowers and reduced them to their intrinsic identities: colour. By removing the distractions of petals and peculiar forms, Revell is able to open our eyes to the incredible variety of colour and shade, which is often overlooked in a desire to appreciate nature's bounteous gifts.
