(image) Handsigned by the artist in pencil Certificate of authenticity BFK Rives paper Dry stamp from Graphikmappe Hochschule St. Gallen, 1967 In a limited palette of grays and blacks, Giuseppe Santomaso brings forth a red line, thin but sharp, like a cut. It seems to make the form bleed, interrupting the heavy silence of the composition. Around it, sharp black curves evoke barbed wire, suggesting contained tension, a territory that is both closed off and vulnerable. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
