Large impressionist landscape by Danish artist Hans Langtved, signed and dated 1940 in the lower right corner. It is painted in oil and on canvas.He was born in Copenhagen, educated at the Royal Art Academy, and became a pupil of Rostrup Boyesen. In the 1940's Langtved built a summer house for young artists at Ejby beach. Many well known Danish artists resided there for a time. Hans was known for the light stroke impressionistic nature scenes of which this painting is a fine example. The painting is in excellent original condition with no damage or restoration. The custom gilted frame is also in fine condition. There are two labels attached to the back of the paintingThe measurements are 21.5" x 25.5"(unframed) and 26.6" x 31.5"(framed).
